The Human and The Humane

What’s the difference? I am pretty sure it’s the letter E.
The first one came from their mother’s womb and the second one… well I don’t know where did that come from. Why do they have to change the spelling in the first place?
     I really don’t understand it.
A Christian tells a situation, “I am a terrorist and I  have killed a hundred innocent children… and one ant. What will you ask?”
In my mind I answered, why does that tiny little ant have to be included in the statistics? He answered his question, “if you have a clean heart you would’ve asked about the children, but if you already have a tainted heart you would’ve asked about the ants.”
You have to have a human parents to be a human. But being a humane is having care to everyone around you. It is the empathy that makes a difference.
Putting oneself in others shoe. What if it is you who were sexually harassed? What if you’re the one who is being body shamed? What if it is you who were discriminated for your skin color?
What if it is you who is in the other side of the coin?
Being sensitive to what others feel makes a difference. How? Who knows you can save someone from a suicidal attempt.
Loving humanity but hating other people can get us nowhere. We have to care for each individual.
We are already humans. Now it is time for us to be humane.
